GENERAL BUSINESS OF COUNCIL. <br />A. Pending Liti ag tion <br />The City has received notice of potential litigation from the United Stated Department of Justice <br />regarding a prior land use decision. The Council concludes there is a need for absolute confidentiality <br />regarding this threatened litigation and closes the meeting under the attorney-client exception to <br />Minnesota's open meeting law (Minnesota Statutes, Section 13D.05). <br />Mayor Faust closed the meeting at 5:31 p.m. <br />Mayor Faust re -opened the meeting at 6:32 p.m. <br />B. August 26, 2014 Agenda Items <br />City Manager Casey presented an amended ordinance for City Code Chapter 131.21, Drug <br />Paraphernalia. <br />By consensus, the Mayor and Council directed staff to include in the August 26, 2014 City Council <br />agenda for action. <br />C. 2015 Budget <br />City Manager Casey presented an overall levy document showing the estimated tax rate increase of <br />.42% <br />III.
