CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 14-060 <br />A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENTS AND AWARDING A BID <br />FOR THE 2014 MUNICIPAL FIBER OPTIC INSTALLATION PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, a resolution of the City Council adopted on the 22"d day of July 2014, authorized <br />advertisement for bids for the construction of a municipal fiber optic network to connect <br />the City's liquor stores, City Hall/police department, and Public Works building. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement as shown on the plan for the <br />above -referenced project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the <br />following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor <br />Total Bid <br />AEI Construction, Inc. <br />$203,452.95 <br />Casterjon, Inc. <br />$214,427.17 <br />TelCom Construction, Inc. <br />$253,275.14 <br />Anderson Underground <br />$279,146.00 <br />TD&I Maintenance, Inc. <br />$282,180.40 <br />WHEREAS, it appears that AEI Construction, Inc. of Perham, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony Village: <br />1. Approve such improvements as are hereby ordered in the Council Resolution. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that: <br />1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract <br />with AEI Construction, Inc. in the amount of $203,452.95 in the name of the City of St. <br />Anthony Village, Minnesota for the improvement outlined in the above -referenced <br />project according to the plans and specifications, therefore, approved by the City <br />Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2.
