CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 14-065 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY <br />OF MINNEAPOLIS AND THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br />WHEREAS, Minneapolis sells utility services, such as water or sanitary sewer to St. Anthony <br />residents; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Minneapolis wishes to provide additional remedies for the collection <br />of charges from customers who live in St. Anthony, but receive one or more <br />utility services from the City of Minneapolis; and <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes §471.59 authorizes two or more governmental units of enter <br />into agreements to jointly or cooperatively exercise any power common to the <br />contracting parties or any similar power <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony Village <br />hereby authorizes a Joint Powers Agreement between the City of Minneapolis and the City of <br />St. Anthony. <br />Adopted this 14f day of October, 2014. <br />ATTEST: _f!/Gluu <br />Barbara J.
