CITY OF SAINT ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />Resolution 14-066 <br />A RESOLUTION TO SUPPORT THE ST ANTHONY- NEW BRIGHTON SCHOOL <br />DISTRICT 282 REFERUNDUM FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE CURRENT <br />OPERATING LEVY AND A CURRICULUM AND TECHNOLOGY <br />NEU, r�1/ Kral�L�71M �l�j`/ <br />WHEREAS, in, 1959, the University of Minnesota recommended establishing a high school in <br />District 282 for the St Anthony students; and <br />WHEREAS, by this expansion in 1961 it built, located, and operated a kindergarten, primary, <br />middle and high school in St Anthony Village; and <br />WHEREAS, this school district has, over the many years, been the recipient of scores of <br />awards for excellence in education, sports, and cultural activities; and <br />WHEREAS, in these intervening years it has became an essential asset and community partner <br />with the civic, business and governmental entities; and <br />WHEREAS, the collaborative spirit exhibited by ISD 282 throughout the years by actively <br />contributing to the overall well being of the community; and <br />WHEREAS, residents move here for the school but remain here for the community; and <br />WHEREAS, this is an integral ingredient in the enhancement and sustainability of our <br />community and property values; and <br />WHEREAS, with its tenacious enthusiastic fidelity to education, sports and civic activities for <br />the betterment of society as an entirety. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of St. Anthony that <br />we encourage and whole hardly support the passage of both referendum questions on November <br />4`h 2014. <br />Adopted this 14`h day of October, 2014. <br />ATTEST: aku aLaI <br />Barbara J.
