CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br />COUNCIL MINUTES <br />January 6, 1976 <br />Carol B. Johnson, City Clerk, administered the oath of office to Duane Miedtke, <br />Mayor, Sally Haik and William Sauer, Covnciinen, at 7 :1%3 P.M. <br />The meeting was called to order by Ma,er Miedtke at 7:46 P.M. <br />Present for roll call: Stauffer, 11M, Nledtke, Sundland and Sauer. <br />Also present: Jerry Dulnar, City Manager <br />Jim Fornell, Adm. Assistant <br />The following corrections were made to the minutes for the December 16, 1976 <br />Council meeting: <br />Page 4, para. 3: Identify final payment to be made to Lamppa Company as <br />$8,884.77. <br />Page 4, para. 5: Substitute "Coolidge Street M.E." for "Wilson St. P.E.". <br />Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to approve the <br />Council minutes for December 16th as corrected. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />The Planning Board minutes for December 16, 1975 were directed filed. <br />There was a discussion of efforts being made to secure financing for the proposed <br />retirement apartments to be constructed on the Hedlund property across from <br />Apache Plaza and the mention in the Human Relations December 16th minutes of a <br />query received by Joan Patterson regarding the possibility of a low rent housing <br />facility for the elderly for the same property after which the Committee's minutes <br />were filed. <br />Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Haik to adopt Resolution <br />No. 75-047. <br />RESOLUTION 75-047 <br />A RESOLUTION MODIFYING THE 1975 BUDGET <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Motion by Councilman Stauffer, seconded by Councilman Sauer to adopt Resolution <br />No. 75-048. <br />RESOLUTION 75-048 <br />A RESOLUTION MODIFYING TNF 1975 BUDGET <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Miedtke pointed out that less than 40% of the City residents use the Sun <br />Newspaper for community information. Councilman Sauer told of the possibility <br />of the New Brighton Shopper serving the City's need for legal publication. <br />
