CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 15-020 <br />A RESOLUTION CALLING A HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ASSESSMENTS <br />FOR THE 2015 STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, by direction of the City Council of the City of St. Anthony Village, a proposed assessment of <br />the cost of the following improvement has been prepared: <br />Street & Utility Reconstruction <br />• <br />36 1h Avenue NE from Silver Lake Road to Hi crest Road <br />■ Chelmsford Road from 36th Avenue NE to 37 Avenue NE <br />Bituminous Mill & Overlay <br />■ St. Anthony Boulevard from Ridgeway Parkway to the bridge crossing the <br />Minneapolis Diagonal Trail <br />Alleyway Surface and Drainage Improvements <br />• Alleyway bound by Silver Lake Road (east), 29th Avenue NE (north), Coolidge <br />Street (west), and St. Anthony Boulevard (south) <br />Backyard Drainage Improvements <br />■ Backyard area of homes located between Belden Drive, 34th Avenue NE, and <br />Edward Street <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of St. Anthony Village that: <br />1. A hearing shall be held on the 10th day of March 2015, in the City Council Chambers at 7:00 P.M., <br />or as soon thereafter as possible, to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place <br />all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard <br />with reference to such assessment. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be <br />published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing, and shall state in the <br />notice the total cost of the improvement. The Clerk shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the <br />owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll not less two weeks days prior to the hearing. <br />3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assessment to the <br />County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment on such property, with interest accrued to the date <br />of payment, to the City Clerk, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid <br />by November 30th of the assessed year. <br />4. The owner may, at any time thereafter, pay to the Finance Director the entire amount of the <br />assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to December of the year in which such payment <br />is made. Such payment must be made before November 30th or the interest will be charged through <br />December 31" of the succeeding year. <br />Adopted this l Oth day of February, 2015. <br />ATTEST: <br />Barbara J.
