City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />January 27, 2015 <br />Page 3 <br />1 evening on topics such as use of force and drinking and driving. He stated the Police <br />2 Department is always looking for ways to reach out to the community and make positive <br />3 contacts within the community and credited Sergeant Mangseth for all the work he has done on <br />4 the crime prevention program. <br />6 Mayor Faust commended Police Chief Ohl and Sergeant Mangseth for their dedicated efforts and <br />7 innovations in community policing. <br />8 <br />9 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />10 <br />11 City Manager Casey reported that information about organized collection has recently been <br />12 published in the newsletter and utility bills. He presented a map of the three organized collection <br />13 zones and advised that on February 9h, the City will be sending out a tri -fold mailer with <br />14 information about collection zones and the mailer will be sent again the week of March 2"d; in <br />15 addition, the collectors will be taping the mailer to the collection bins. He stated that on March <br />16 25th, 26`x', and 27", residents are asked to take their refuse, recycling, and yard waste carts to the <br />17 end of their driveway and the haulers will switch out the carts for service beginning April 15`. He <br />18 stated further information is on the website and encouraged residents to call with any questions. <br />19 <br />20 Councilmember Jenson — no report. <br />21 <br />22 Councilmember Stille reported on his attendance at the January 26th Planning Commission <br />23 meeting. <br />24 <br />25 Councilmember Gray — no report. <br />26 <br />27 Mayor Faust reported on the City Council's attendance at the January 15-16 goal setting retreat <br />28 with the City Manager and department heads along with the Parks and Planning Commission <br />29 Chairs. He also reported on his attendance at the January 20 Chamber of Commerce meeting <br />30 and his attendance at the January 27s' MWMO all day retreat. <br />31 <br />32 VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br />33 <br />34 Mayor Faust invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council on items that <br />35 are not on the regular agenda. Hearing none, Mayor Faust moved forward with the agenda. <br />36 <br />37 IX. INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS - NONE. <br />38 <br />39 X.
