CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 14-060 <br />A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENTS AND A WARDING A BID <br />FOR THE 2014 MUNICIPAL FIBER OPTIC INSTALLATION PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, a reso lution of the City Council adopted on the 22nd day of July 2014, authorized <br />advertisement for bid s for the construction of a municipal fiber optic network to connect <br />the City's liquor stores, C ity Hall /police department, and Public Works building. <br />WHEREAS, purs uant to an advertisement for bid s for the improvement as s hown on the plan for the <br />above-referenced project, bids were rece ived , opened and tabulated according to law, and the <br />following bids were received complying with the adverti sement: <br />Contractor Total Bid <br />AEI Construction, Inc . $203 ,452.95 <br />2 Casterjon, Inc. $214,427.17 <br />3 TelCom Construction , Inc. $253,275.14 <br />4 Anderson Underground $279, 146 .00 <br />5 TD&I Maintenance, Inc. $282, 180.40 <br />WHEREAS, it appears that AEI Construction , Inc. of Perham, MN is the lowest re s pon s ible bidder, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the C ity Council of the City o f St. Anthony Village: <br />I. Approve such improvements as are hereby ordered in the Council Resolution. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that: <br />I. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract <br />with AEI Construction, Inc. in the amount of $203,452.95 in the name of the City of St. <br />Anthony Village, Minnesota for the improvement outlined in the above-referenced <br />project according to the plans and specifications, therefore, approved by the City <br />Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2.
