Awards: The City of St. Anthony received the following awards in 2011: <br />1) MPCA — GreenStep City, Step 1 and Step 2 <br />Grants: Each year, the City actively participates in Federal, State and County <br />administered grants. In 2011 the Police, Fire, Public Works and Administration received <br />a variety of safety and training grants. A list of the grants includes: <br />A. FEMA- Warning Siren Grant. <br />B. Metropolitan Council Environmental Services -Sanitary Sewer <br />Improvements. <br />C. Mississippi Watershed Management Organization — Parks Department <br />Equipment. <br />D. Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education Grant. <br />E. Minnesota Firefighter Disability Grant. <br />F. Safe and Sober Grant — Alcohol Compliance Grant. <br />G. State of Minnesota — Vest Grant. <br />H. State of Minnesota — Operation Heat Grant. <br />I. Ramsey County — Score Recycling Grant. <br />J. Ramsey County — Electronic Citation Grant. <br />K. CenterPoint Energy — Fire Department Equipment. <br />L. FEMA — Firefighter Grant. <br />Partnerships: The City partners with local businesses, civic organizations and the <br />Chamber of Commerce to provide a variety of community safety and education <br />programs. In 2011, the City continued to receive funding for the "Citizens Academy" <br />and "Crime Prevention" which provides alcohol awareness training and public safety for <br />our residents. <br />In addition, the City installed a Veteran's Memorial monument. This was a joint <br />endeavor between St. Anthony Kiwanis, St. Anthony residents, St. Anthony local <br />businesses and the City of St. Anthony. <br />Acknowledgements: <br />Finally, we would like to express our gratitude to the Mayor and the City Council.
