Awards: The City of St. Anthony received the following awards in 2013: <br />1) League of Minnesota Cities — City of Excellence <br />Grants: Each year, the City actively participates in Federal, State and County administered <br />grants. In 2013 the Police, Fire, Public Works and Administration received a variety of safety <br />and training grants. A list of the grants includes: <br />A. Metropolitan Council Environmental Services — Sanitary Sewer Improvements. <br />B. Mississippi Watershed Management Organization — Infrastructure Grant. <br />C. League of Minnesota Cities — City of Excellence Award. <br />D. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) — Storm Damage <br />E. Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training & Education — Firefighter Training & <br />Education Reimbursement. <br />F. Minnesota Firefighter Disability Grant. <br />G. Hennepin County Pass EMPG Pass Thru Funds. <br />H. Safe and Sober Grant — Alcohol Compliance Grant. <br />I. State of Minnesota — Vest Grant. <br />J. Ramsey County — Safe and Sober Grant. <br />K. Centerpoint Community Development Grant — Fire Department Equipment. <br />L. University of Minnesota — Fire Department Lucas Device <br />Partnerships: The City partners with local businesses, civic organizations and the Chamber of <br />Commerce to provide a variety of community safety and education programs. In 2013, the City <br />continued to receive funding for the "Citizens Academy" and "Crime Prevention" which <br />provides alcohol awareness training and public safety for our residents. <br />Acknowledgements: <br />Finally, we would like to express our gratitude to the Mayor and the City Council.
