Fire Training Fund - $290 <br />The Fire Training Fund is an education program that is designed to provide training to <br />Police and Fire personnel. The Fund allows the City to use its existing trained Fire <br />personnel to provide education services for both in-house and outside organizations. <br />HRA General Fund - $13,059 <br />The HRA oversees all commercial and residential redevelopment activities in the <br />community. The HRA General Fund allows for the payment of administrative costs <br />which are associated with providing development opportunities within the City. <br />Capital Equipment Fund - $114,888 <br />The Capital Equipment Fund is used for major capital equipment purchases (refer to the <br />5 -Year Capital Equipment Plan). Primary funding is derived from a variety of sources <br />including General Fund reserves and transfers, Water/Sewer revenue, Liquor <br />Operations profits and the trade and sale of existing equipment. <br />Equipment Certificate Debt Service - $15,562 <br />In 2003, the City issued an equipment certificate for the purpose of purchasing a new <br />Fire truck. Additional capital improvements, included: Civil Defense siren, furniture for <br />the new Fire Station and upgrades to the phone system. The final payment of debt was <br />paid on 02/01/08. <br />Park Improvement Fund - ($39,489) <br />The primary focus of the Park Improvemnent Fund is to provide a park system that offers <br />a variety of recreational opportunities for residents of all ages. The fund is designated <br />for the renovation and refurbishing of the City's park system. Revenues are derived <br />from Liquor Operations profits, donations from private sources, tax abatement bonds, <br />transfers from other funds and parkland user fees. <br />Tax Abatement Bond Fund - $87,171 <br />This fund provides funds to support the bond payments for the Tax Abatement Bonds <br />issued in 2001 for Central Park Improvements, <br />Road Improvement Bond Fund - $1,124,566 <br />The Road Improvement Bond Fund is a restricted use fund, which is part of the City's <br />on-going road improvement projects plan. Road improvement bonds are issued to pay <br />for the initial project. Special assessments and a road improvement levy fund the re- <br />payment of the debt associated with the sale of these road improvement bonds. <br />These funds can only be used for the payment and issuance costs of road improvement <br />bonds. They are non -transferable to other funds or projects. <br />107 <br />
