Profits from the operation of our two stores have a significant impact <br />on our City's ability purchase capital equipment without issuing debt. They also provide <br />a source of funding for reducing the general fund tax levy. <br />Profits for year 2008 profits from Liquor Operations totaled $400,422. In 2009, profits <br />from Liquor Operations are estimated to total $400,000; however as of this date profits <br />are higher than expected and could exceed expectations. <br />In 2010, the allocation of profits includes $291,800 being transferred to the General Fund <br />and another $108,200 is designated to fund the purchases of capital equipment for all <br />City Departments. <br />
