Grants: Each year, the City actively participates in Federal, State and County administered <br />grants. In 2014 the Police, Fire, Public Works and Administration received a variety of public <br />safety, operating, equipment and infrastructure construction grants. A list of the grants includes: <br />A. Minnesota Firefighter Disability Grant. <br />B. Hennepin County LED cost sharing Grant. <br />C. State of Minnesota — Vest Grant. <br />D. Ramsey County — Safe and Sober Grant. <br />E. Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training & Education Grant. <br />F. Rice Creek Watershed Grant — Central Park Rain Garden. <br />G. Rice Creek Watershed Grant — Silver Lake Stormwater Treatment. <br />H. Minnesota Public Facilities Authority Grant — Silver Lake Stormwater Treatment. <br />I. Ramsey County Emergency Management and Homeland Security — Fire Dept. <br />Radios. <br />J. Hennepin County Recycling Grant. <br />K. Ramsey County Recycling Grant. <br />L. Metropolitan Council Environmental Services — Sanitary Sewer Improvements <br />Partnerships: The City partners with local businesses, civic organizations and the Chamber of <br />Commerce to provide a variety of community safety and education programs. In 2014, the City <br />continued to receive funding for numerous Crime Prevention activities which included the <br />certification of four police officers as crime prevention specialists by the Minnesota Crime <br />Prevention Association. <br />Acknowledgements <br />Finally, we would like to express our gratitude to the Mayor and the City Council.
