ANTHONY 1 <br />CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES 2 <br />AUGUST 11, 2015 3 <br /> 4 <br />CALL TO ORDER. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 7 <br /> 8 <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. 11 <br /> 12 <br />ROLL CALL. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Present: Mayor Faust; Councilmembers Brever, Gray, Jenson, and Stille. 15 <br />Absent: None. 16 <br />Also Present: City Manager Mark Casey and Dominic Papatola, Planning Commission. 17 <br />Guest: Bob Laney, Superintendent, Wendy Webster, Director of Community Services & 18 <br />Communications, and Police Chief John Ohl. 19 <br /> 20 <br /> 21 <br />CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING 22 <br />ITEMS. 23 <br /> 24 <br />I. APPROVAL OF THE AUGUST 11, 2015, CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Brever, to approve the City 27 <br />Council Meeting Agenda of August 11, 2015. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Motion carried unanimously. 30 <br /> 31 <br />II. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. 32 <br /> 33 <br />A. St. Anthony / New Brighton School District #282 Presentation, Bob Laney, 34 <br />Superintendent, and Wendy Webster, Director of Community Services & 35 <br />Communications, presenting. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Mayor Faust introduced Bob Laney, Superintendent, and Wendy Webster, Director of 38 <br />Community Services & Communications, to the Council. 39 <br /> 40 <br />Bob Laney made a presentation to the Council “Update on our Schools” for the St. Anthony/New 41 <br />Brighton School District. He reviewed the overview of the mission, vision and values, strategic 42 <br />objectives, goals and action steps and provided an update on the student enrollment and 43 <br />demographics. 44 <br /> 45 <br />Wendy Webster reviewed the powerpoint presentation and provided updated copy for Council 46 <br />review. The Mission of the St. Anthony – New Brighton School District is to Educate, Prepare, 47 <br />and Inspire a Community of lifelong learners in our small, caring environment. She reviewed the 48 <br />vision – We are committed to the success of all learners. We will engage, inspire, challenge, and 49 <br />support each learner through innovation and collaboration. 50 <br />11
