CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 15-056 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION RECEIVING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND <br />ORDERING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />FOR THE 2016 STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the Council adopted June 23, 2015, a report was <br />prepared by WSB & Associates, Inc. with reference to the improvement of the <br />2016 Street and Utility Improvement Project, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony Village has entered into a cooperative agreement with the <br />City of Columbia Heights, to construct certain City improvements as part of the <br />2016 Street and Utility Improvement Project, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Feasibility Report recommends the following street and utility improvements <br />in 2016: <br /> <br />Street & Utility Reconstruction <br /> Stinson Boulevard from 37th Avenue NE to Silver Lane NE <br /> 37th Place N from Stinson Boulevard to 37th Avenue NE <br />Trail and Sidewalk Improvements <br /> 8’ bituminous trail along west side of Stinson Boulevard between 37th Place N <br />and 40th Avenue NE (This is a Columbia Heights improvement) <br /> Salo Park sidewalk replacement <br />Railroad Crossing Improvements <br /> Replace existing crossing on Stinson Boulevard NE located between 37th Avenue <br />NE and 37th Place NE. (This design anticipates the future HSIP project being <br />constructed) <br />Decorative Lighting <br /> East side of Stinson Boulevard NE between 37th Avenue NE and Silver Lane NE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is <br />necessary, cost effective, and feasible. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of St. Anthony <br />Village that: <br /> <br />1) The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with the report <br />at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $3,898,960. <br /> <br />2) WSB & Associates, Inc. is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. They <br />shall prepare plans for making such improvement. <br /> <br /> <br />87
