The home to the west has a front depth of 34.75 feet and the home to <br />east has a front yard depth of 35 feet resulting in the average of 34.87 feet. The applicant requests a <br />variance to construct a two story addition to encroach 6.87 feet into the required front yard setback to <br />result in a front yard depth of 28 feet. The Applicant’s request for a variance from the front yard <br />setback to allow for the construction the two story addition is reasonable, per the findings listed in city <br />code. Background <br />The Applicants propose to construct a two story addition to the front of the house on the property <br />located at 3425 Skycroft Circle. According to the submitted plans, the addition would be 12 feet <br />wide by 7 feet deep. Within the addition would be a new entry and a staircase leading up to the <br />second floor and is proposed as part of a larger remodel of the home. <br />5
