City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />July 28, 2015 <br />Page 2 <br />2 Councilmember Gray stated he looked at the work officers have done and it is apparent to him <br />3 that this is more than just a job to them. He stated this has a great impact to their community and <br />4 he wanted to thank them. <br />6 Councilmember Stille thought this year the Night to Unite event would be very interesting <br />7 because of what has occurred throughout the Nation. He thought the support for the Police <br />8 Department has not only occurred from St. Anthony residents but from Falcon Heights residents <br />9 as well. He thought the community would be very receptive. <br />10 <br />11 Mayor Faust stated it is amazing the demeanor of all three of the officers, the smiles, the <br />12 approachability, and how they always have that openness, which reflects well on the community. <br />13 He thought it was amazing how they taught children in the community and was moved and proud <br />14 to be a member of St. Anthony. He thanked the police officers and indicated the Council's <br />15 appreciation. <br />16 <br />17 III. CONSENT AGENDA. <br />18 <br />19 A. Consider July 14, 2015, City Council meeting minutes; <br />20 B. Consider licenses and permits; and <br />21 C. Consider payment of claims. <br />22 <br />23 Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Brever, to approve the Consent <br />24 Agenda items. <br />25 <br />26 Motion carried unanimously. <br />27 <br />28 IV. PUBLIC HEARING - NONE. <br />29 <br />30 V. REPORTS FROM COMMISSION AND STAFF - NONE. <br />31 <br />32 VI. GENERAL BUSINESS OF COUNCIL. <br />33 <br />34 A. Second Quarter Goals. Mark Casey, City Manager, presenting. <br />35 <br />36 City Manager Casey presented the second quarter goals update. <br />37 <br />38 Councilmember Gray stated it seems like they never have a lack of things for staff to do. He <br />39 stated he was thankful for how Mr. Casey attacks these items, felt a lot of progress has been <br />40 made, and that Mr. Casey is doing a great job <br />41 <br />42 Councilmember Stille stated there are items that are not on the update that staff has been working <br />43 on as well. He reviewed some of the items the City has been working on and thanked Mr. Casey <br />44 and the staff for their excellent work. <br />45 <br />46 Mayor Faust thanked City Manager Casey and all City staff for their ongoing efforts. He <br />47 recapped some of the items staff worked on to improve the City and cut costs. <br />:f: <br />
