I CITY OF ST. ANTHONY 2 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES 3 AUGUST 11, 2015 4 5 CALL TO ORDER. 6 7 Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m 9 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. 10 11 Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. 12 13 ROLL CALL. 14 15 Present: Mayor Faust; Councilmembers Brever, Gray, Jenson, and Stille. 16 Absent: None. 17 Also Present: City Manager Mark Casey and Dominic Papatola, Planning Commission. 18 Guest: Bob Laney, Superintendent, Wendy Webster, Director of Community Services & 19 Communications, and Police Chief John Ohl. 20 21 22 CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING 23 ITEMS. 24 25 I. APPROVAL OF THE AUGUST 11, 2015, CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. 26 27 Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Brever, to approve the City 28 Council Meeting Agenda of August 11, 2015. 29 30 Motion carried unanimously. 31 32 II. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. 33 34 A. St. Anthony / New Brighton School District #282 Presentation Bob Laney, 35 Superintendent. and Wendy Webster. Director of Community Services & 36 Communications, presenting. 37 38 Mayor Faust introduced Bob Laney, Superintendent, and Wendy Webster, Director of 39 Community Services & Communications, to the Council. 40 41 Bob Laney made a presentation to the Council "Update on our Schools" for the St. Anthony/New 42 Brighton School District. He reviewed the overview of the mission, vision and values, strategic 43 objectives, goals and action steps and provided an update on the student enrollment and 44 demographics. 45 46 Wendy Webster reviewed the powerpoint presentation and provided updated copy for Council 47 review. The Mission of the St. Anthony — New Brighton School District is to Educate, Prepare, 48 and Inspire a Community of lifelong learners in our small, caring environment. She reviewed the 49 vision — We are committed to the success of all learners. We will engage, inspire, challenge, and 50 support each learner through innovation and collaboration.
