1 CITY OF ST. ANTHONY e HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY MEETING MINUTES 3 FEBRUARY 22, 2000 4 I. CALL TO ORDER. 5 Chairman Cavanaugh called the meeting was called to order at 8:25 p.m. 6 H. ROLL CALL. 7 Commissioners present: Chairman Cavanaugh, Vice Chair Thuesen, Commissioners Sparks 8 and Hodson. 9 Commissioners absent: Horst. 10 Also present: Executive Director Michael Momson. 1 I III. APPROVAL OF FEBRUARY 22, 2000 H.R.A. AGENDA. 12 Motion by Hodson to approve the February 22, 2000 H.R.A. agenda as presented. 13 Motion carried unanimously. 14 IV. CONSENT AGENDA. 15 Motion by Sparks to approve the Consent Agenda as presented, which included: 1. Housing and Redevelopment Authority Meeting Minutes of January 25, 2000; 7 2. Claims for the H.R.A. 18 Motion carried unanimously. 19 V. GENERAL POLICY BUSINESS OF THE H.R.A. 20 None. 21 VI. STAFF REPORTS. 22 Executive Director Michael Morrison reported that the home on Kenzie Terrace is being rented 23 until April 1, 2000. There is approximately one acre of property on that parcel and the City has 24 received a proposal for the home. That issue is scheduled for discussion at the Council's March 25 worksession. 26 Momson provided an update that The Hitching Post is anticipating a March opening. He further 27 stated that the building has been renovated and looks brand new. The owners of The Hitching 28 Post have contacted the City stating that they are ready to discuss the landscaping plan. - 29 Hodson inquired if the City has obtained a grant writer, and Morrison stated that in light of recent 30 issues, the City has become educated on grants and as a result, Morrison has been preparing the 31 grants. Momson stated that he would envision a need for a grant writer for the Parks 32 Commission, however, and reminded the Council that the firm of BRW has a staff that 0 specializes in grant writing. 34 Cavanaugh agreed that would be an excellent resource.
