1 CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br />e HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY MEETING MINUTES <br />3 FEBRUARY 22, 2000 <br />4 I. CALL TO ORDER. <br />5 Chairman Cavanaugh called the meeting was called to order at 8:25 p.m. <br />6 H. ROLL CALL. <br />7 Commissioners present: Chairman Cavanaugh, Vice Chair Thuesen, Commissioners Sparks <br />8 and Hodson. <br />9 Commissioners absent: Horst. <br />10 Also present: Executive Director Michael Momson. <br />1 I III. APPROVAL OF FEBRUARY 22, 2000 H.R.A. AGENDA. <br />12 Motion by Hodson to approve the February 22, 2000 H.R.A. agenda as presented. <br />13 Motion carried unanimously. <br />14 IV. CONSENT AGENDA. <br />15 Motion by Sparks to approve the Consent Agenda as presented, which included: <br />1. Housing and Redevelopment Authority Meeting Minutes of January 25, 2000; <br />7 2. Claims for the H.R.A. <br />18 Motion carried unanimously. <br />19 V. GENERAL POLICY BUSINESS OF THE H.R.A. <br />20 None. <br />21 VI. STAFF REPORTS. <br />22 Executive Director Michael Morrison reported that the home on Kenzie Terrace is being rented <br />23 until April 1, 2000. There is approximately one acre of property on that parcel and the City has <br />24 received a proposal for the home. That issue is scheduled for discussion at the Council's March <br />25 worksession. <br />26 Momson provided an update that The Hitching Post is anticipating a March opening. He further <br />27 stated that the building has been renovated and looks brand new. The owners of The Hitching <br />28 Post have contacted the City stating that they are ready to discuss the landscaping plan. - <br />29 Hodson inquired if the City has obtained a grant writer, and Morrison stated that in light of recent <br />30 issues, the City has become educated on grants and as a result, Morrison has been preparing the <br />31 grants. Momson stated that he would envision a need for a grant writer for the Parks <br />32 Commission, however, and reminded the Council that the firm of BRW has a staff that <br />0 specializes in grant writing. <br />34 Cavanaugh agreed that would be an excellent resource. <br />
