Hamer: <br /> Regarding the problem of through traffic in the alley <br /> between Silver Lake Road and Coolidge Street in the <br /> 2800 block- since the speeding and traffic increase <br /> occur almost exclusively at evening rush hour and is <br /> created by northbound traffic turning left .off of <br /> Silver Lake into the alley, it seems that a fairly <br /> simple solution would be to prevent a left turn off <br /> Silver Lake Road. Instead of closing off the alley <br /> at that point, I suggest that the concrete median be <br /> extended to a few feet north of the alley. This would <br /> still allow drivers to exit the alley onto southbound <br /> and northbound Silver Fake Road. It would also allow <br /> the few southbound drivers on Silver Lake road to <br /> enter the alley, which has never seemed to cause a <br /> problem.
