1 CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> • 2 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br /> 3 APRIL 11, 2000 <br /> 4 I. CALL TO ORDER. <br /> 5 Mayor Cavanaugh called the meeting to order at 7:16 p.m. <br /> 6 II. ROLL CALL. <br /> 7 Councilmembers present: Mayor Cavanaugh; Councilmembers Sparks, Horst, and Hodson <br /> 8 Councilmembers absent: Brian Thuesen <br /> 9 Also present: Michael Morrison, City Manager; William Soth, City Attorney. <br /> 10 III. APPROVAL OF APRIL 11, 2000 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING AGENDA. <br /> 11 Motion by Horst to approve the April 11, 2000 City Council Regular Meeting Agenda with the <br /> - 12 following addition: <br /> 13 XI.,A.,1. Nativity Lutheran Church for 3312 Silver Lake Road, setback vari- <br /> 14 ance request;and consideration of Resolution 00-030, a Resolution <br /> 15 Relating to 3312 Silver Lake Road Variance Request. <br /> 16 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> •17 IV. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. <br /> 18 A. Proclamation Declaring Volunteer Recognition Week. <br /> 19 Mayor Cavanaugh reviewed for the Council and the audience the purpose of the proposed Proc- <br /> 20 lamation. He reviewed the Proclamation which stated, in part,that individuals and groups <br /> 21 serving as volunteers have enriched the life of the community, impacted the community through <br /> 22 service to others, and that volunteers of all ages and from all backgrounds are stepping forward to <br /> 23 meet and solve the increasingly complex problems in the community. The City felt that recogni- <br /> 24 tion should be given to volunteers involved in all contributions which serve their fellow citizens <br /> 25 and communities. <br /> 26 Motion by Sparks to approve the Proclamation wherein Dennis Cavanaugh, Mayor of the City of <br /> 27 St. Anthony, and on behalf of the St. Anthony City Council, does hereby proclaim the week of <br /> 28 April 9-15, 2000 to be Volunteer Recognition Week in.St. Anthony Village. As we continue to <br /> 29 face the challenges and opportunities of our society, all citizens of the City are called to sustain <br /> 30 and increase St. Anthony's voluntary spirit now and for the future. Together we can serve the <br /> 31 City and serve it well. <br /> 32 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 33 In addition, Cavanaugh announced that a Volunteer Appreciation Dinner would be held on April <br /> •34 28, 2000, and he stated that it was a wonderful opportunity for the City to thank the many volun- <br /> 35 teers.* <br />
