CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> S SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br /> January 25 , 1983 <br /> The meeting- was called to order by Mayor Sundland at 7 :00 P.M. <br /> Present for roll call : Enrooth, Letourneau, Sundland , Ranallo and <br /> Marks. <br /> Also present: Larry Hamer, Public Works Director as Acting Manager; <br /> Richard Krier, H .R.A. Planning Consultant; and William <br /> Soth , City Attorney , who was present for the H.R.A. <br /> discussions. <br /> Tom Lindskog , 3315 Skycroft Drive was interviewed for the position <br /> which is open on the Chemical Use/Abuse Information Committee. He <br /> told the Council he had been a resident of the City for the past <br /> thirteen years and up until the last year , when he and his wife co- <br /> chaired -the Middle School PTSA, had participated in many of the Nativity <br /> Lutheran Church activities . Because he has three children in the <br /> St. Anthony school system, Mr. Lindskog believes service on this <br /> committee would keep him informed regarding any drug problems in the <br /> schools and he is familiar with the workings of the committee through <br /> his association with two former members who are moving away . However, <br /> Mr. Lindskog assured the Council he would keep an open mind on how <br /> • the Committee should be run. <br /> The Mayor indicated he was concerned that one of the candidates for <br /> the Planning Commission had been told he would be appointed to this <br /> Committee , if not to the Commission , even though he had been assured <br /> that such was not the case by the other Council members . Councilman <br /> Marks indicated he was very impressed with Mr. Lindskog ' s areas of <br /> involvement in the community and opted for making the selection that <br /> evening. <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Enrooth to <br /> appoint Tom Lindskog to represent the Council on the St. Anthony <br /> Chemical Use/Abuse Information Committee . <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: Marks , Enrooth , Ranallo, and Letourneau. <br /> Nay: Sundland. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Krier indicated the City Manager had requested he appear before <br /> the Council to advise them as members of the Housing and Redevelopment <br /> Authority as to the proper procedures for conducting February 8th the <br /> • interviews of the two firms who had submitted proposals for the Kenzie <br /> Terrace Redevelopment Project. The Planning Consultant indicated he <br /> would be reviewing the proposals from the two firms , the Knutson Co- <br /> mpaf yr,a.nd Kraus Anderson, the next two weeks and would meet with. the <br /> H. R.A=:""-1,::�`' Friday before the interviews to give an evaluation of the <br />
