:CITY OF ST. ANTHONY'
REQUEST FOR CITY COUNCIL ACTION - •- •
------------------------------------------------------------------------
• Date Submitted -Type of Action Requested Agenda Item Number
Resolution
August 24, 1984 Ordinance Reports-1c
Date Action Requested X Formal Action/Motion Title Subdivision With-
Other out Platting Lot Split)
August 28, 1984 Elizabeth Johnson , 3601
Stinson
------------------------------------------------------------------------
TO: Mayor and Councilmen
FROM: David M. Childs , City Manager
------------------------------------------------------------------------
SUMMARY DISCUSSION OF SUBJECT: The applicant proposes to split the existing
50' X 239.25' ' lot which fronts on both Stinson and Roosevelt. She would maintain
her current residence at 3601 Stinson, but proposes to sell the back of her property ,
50' X 120' , as a single family lot fronting on Roosevelt. The two resulting lots
would be each 6,000 square feet (tHe ordinance requires 9,000). and the vacant lot
would be buildable under the Zoning' Ordinance. Since the size is within 66% of the
required-lot- size, Mr. Joseph Mezzenga has a contingent purchase agreement on the
resulting vacant lot and if approved, would construct a home on the property. He
expects to be able to meet all setbacks without a variance by building a home similar
• to the Rivard house in the 3200 block of Roosevelt. No objections have been received
to the proposal .
The Planning Commission , per their minutes , has unanimously recommended approval of
the split.
ALTERNATIVES :
RECOMMENDATION:
• CITY MANAGER' S REVIEW: . ..
