Childs, City Manager
------------------------------------------------------------------------ -
SUMMARY DISCUSSION OF SUBJECT: This is a review of a proposed mausoleum
facility to be constructed by the owners of Sunset Cemetery on the property north
of the BN Railroad tracks east of St. Anthony Boulevard and southeast of MN Hwy. 88.
The mausoleum would be 100" X 180' in size and would have setbacks of approxi-
mately 125 feet from Hwy. 88 and 60 feet from the properties in the industrial
park. The role of the City Council , as with the Gross Golf Course Clubhouse addi -
tion, would be to assure- that the structure is designed in a manner which is in
keeping with the Recreational Open Space Zone. As with most (all ) mausoleums , the
• structure will be of substantial construction (stone , marble, etc. ) .
The Planning Commission has recommended approval , finding that the structure is in
conformance with our Open Space zoning.
ALTERNATIVES :
it
RECOMMENDATION:
i
I -
f
•
CITY-''MANAGER'S REVIEW: COMMENTS :
I `
