Library <br /> Present: Bob Oliver, Jan Stroom, Pat Beaubien, Jean Klosterman, Karen Thoresen-Quinn, <br /> Don Hickerson, Evelyn Holthus, George Marks, Ron Taylor, Chris Clauson and Jack Thoemke. <br /> Absent: Joe & Barb Malrick, Tom Lindskog, Rev. Seefeldt, and Catherine Maxwell. <br /> Youth Service Bureau Update <br /> The quarterly activity report documenting St. Anthony use of Youth Service Bureau <br /> was distributed. Ron Taylor will teach classes or seminars on parenting at Nativity <br /> Church and Community Services in February and March. <br /> Chris Clausen submitted 1985 proposed budget. Discussed funding by St. Anthony School <br /> .and Hennepin County. Advised of employment services available and volunteer group <br /> leaders education. - <br /> - George reflected positive attitude towards Youth Service Program and'advised he is <br /> • attempting to gain additional support from the St. Anthony City Council. <br /> Ev made committee aware of Nativity Hermanslie Fund grant available for outreach <br /> programs and suggest Youth Service look into. <br /> George would like March or April presentation to City Council by Ron Taylor, Chris <br /> Clausen and Captain Jack Thoemke and Chief Hickerson to encourage strong support from <br /> City Council. <br /> Bob Oliver was introduced to the Committee. <br /> Secretary report approved. <br /> .So Treasurer's report. <br /> Jena Kilbourne movie = $550.00 purchase price or $43.00 rental. Possible suggestion <br /> for Youth Service Bureau to utilize. Ev will check out. It could be used for Mass <br /> Media classes. <br /> =Detox Adolescents. Chief Don Hickerson said police use 20/20 for repeating offenders <br /> yr a Arent intoxification when no parent can 'be contacted. <br /> m <br /> ZSptaia Thoemke reported that 20/20 detox or General (i f medical need) and the Crises <br /> Center are used. Parent support is essential for good outcome. <br />
