The proposed 15 foot extension to the sanctuary and the 57 foot <br /> setback for the kitchen/fellowship hall addition are now perceived <br /> to minimize the proximity of the existing church to the abutting <br /> backyards of the single family residences along 36th Avenue N.E. , <br /> thereby avoiding further aggravation of an already potentially <br /> detrimental condition and resulting in an acceptable conditional <br /> use in that single family neighborhood. <br /> The Council further stipulates, as the Commission had recommended <br /> i that this permit be granted only on the condition the church: <br /> l <br /> I <br />'i a. provide landscaping, including shrubbery, which would <br /> z <br /> eliminate the necessity for mowing the grass on the embankment, <br /> b. take the necessary steps to prevent potentially damaging <br /> runoff from the church building onto the neighbor' s property, <br /> and <br /> t <br /> C. agree that the proposed sanctuary should not be extended either <br /> east or west at any time in the future unless there is a <br /> positive agreement with such expansion by the owners. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> After a brief discussion of each, the November and December Fire <br /> Department reports as well as the December 6th St. Anthony Chemical <br /> Abuse Committee minutes were ordered filed. <br /> In- her December 29th letter to the Manager and City Council , Roscella <br /> Connelly, who had served as one of two City representatives to as well <br /> as chairperson for the Eastside Hennepin County Human Services, Inc. , <br /> had indicated she would not be seeking reappointment to that body when <br /> her tenure ends January 24 , 1984 , but intends to remain temporarily <br /> on the council as a staff volunteer.
