Mr. Childs agreed to include in the :next Newsletter <br /> the correct telephone number which is to be used in such instances. <br /> The Councilman then reiterated the benefit to the City he -perceives by <br /> becoming a full member of the Youth Service Bureau on which he now, <br /> represents the City and suggested that membership be considered when <br /> the 1984 budget is developed. <br /> Councilman Marks and the Mayor both indicated they believed the $450 <br /> plus cost of belonging to the National League of Cities would be more <br /> than offset by the advantages of having City delegates to the League , <br /> conventions able to vote on as well as to participate in discussions <br /> of matters which are City concerns . Councilman Enrooth concurred <br /> saying it costs more to go to Washington than to belong. <br /> Motion by Mayor Sundland and seconded by Councilman Ranallo to authorize <br /> the City' s membership in the National League of Cities as long as <br /> membership fees do not exceed $500 , in which case, the Manager would <br /> return the matter to the Council for further consideration. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> The Manager had distributed copies of the proposed advertisement for bids <br /> for materials necessary for the City crews to replace the watermain <br /> on 37th Avenue N.E. when that roadway is rebuilt, saying the Public Works <br /> Director had estimated the materials would cost at least $30,000 <br /> and those costs could increase if the City waits to bid next year. <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Mayor Sundland to authorize <br /> the advertisement for bids for the materials necessary for the replace- <br /> ment of the watermain along 37th Avenue N.E. in conjunction with the <br /> rebuilding of County Road D. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> i <br /> Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Makowske to <br />' adopt the resolution which designates the St. Anthony edition of the <br /> Bulletin as the official newspaper for the City in 1984 . <br />'c <br /> RESOLUTION 84-001 <br /> A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING LEGAL NEWSPAPER <br /> FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1984 <br />
