�1 -5- 2 told -Councilmember Makowske he did. not believe the :fact 3 that the neighbors might want -to buy- the .land- to keep it 4 :. from being -developed would justify further tabling of 5 action on the proposal; but 6 advised that an exception to the Supreme Court ruling 7 would be that, if the property owner owned -the adjoin- 8 ing lot, the City -would not be required to grant these 9 variances; 10 added .that Council' s approval that evening would cer- 11 tainly not preclude the neighbors' negotiating such a 12 purchase later on, but the above would be true of that 13 ownership as well; 14 reiterated his belief that, with their- June 22nd letter, 15 the attorneys for the deceased property owner "had 16 joined in the variance application" ; 17 recommended the Council take action on the variance 18 requests that evening. 19 Proponent: William Campbell, of Campbell Construction Inc. , 12409 �0 Drake Street N.W. , Coon Rapids,.
