Mr. Nelson expressed his concern for the possibility of an <br /> amusement arcade next to the liquor store at Apache. Both <br /> he and Chief Hickerson agree that would not be a fRvorable <br /> location for an amusement arcade. <br /> 2.- He is confident the Stonehouse will do very well in 1988. <br /> 3 . After some delays , the contractors resumed work at the <br /> Stonehouse. <br /> I <br /> Larry Hamer <br /> 1 . Stonehouse construction: dining area will be finished this <br /> week (except the wallpaper ) ; there could be a serious drain- <br /> age problem at the front end of the bottle shop if the side- <br /> walks are not properly elevated (which must be done soon) ; <br /> gate valves are being installed. <br /> 2 .' Steve Koes has -been given a- change in duties. He is now a <br /> Public Works "laborer" . He will still, however, perform the <br /> janitorial tasks at the City and Police offices. <br /> 3 . Re-sodding of the Wilson Street watermain project will be • <br /> completed this week. <br /> 4. Mike Ronich, the new hiree from the MEED program, is required <br /> and has agreed to become a daytime reserve firefighter as <br /> part of his job as Public Works laborer. <br /> 5. - The street light to -be placed at 3116 Edward had to be re- <br /> ordered, so it will be a little longer before it can be in- <br /> stalled by NSP. <br /> 6. Waste Management has proposed a pick up program for yard <br /> wastes (grass, leaves, etc. ) . Details are still being worked <br /> out. Pick up would most likely be on Saturdays in late Octo- <br /> ber. The City could let residents know of this service in the <br /> upcoming Newsletter and a "blurb" in the Bulletin. <br /> 7 . New metal player ' s benches have been installed at Central <br /> Park. <br /> 8. Two of the tennis courts have been resurfaced. <br /> 9 . Hockey boards will be put up during the end of September. <br /> • <br /> 2 <br />
