• MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: October 20-, 1987 <br /> TO: David Childs, City Manager <br /> FROM: Connie Kroeplin, Administrative Secretary <br /> ITEM: STAFF MEETING NOTES - OCTOBER -20 , 1987 <br /> The meeting began at 10 : 05 A.M. : Those present were Dave Childs , <br /> Connie Kroeplin; Ray Nelson, Carol Johnson, Lee Entner., Don <br /> Hickerson, and Larry Hamer. <br /> Ray Nelson <br /> 1 . The World Series has helped to increase sales for the liquor <br /> operation. <br /> 2. Mr. Nelson and Mr. Childs discussed the rise and fall of the <br /> sale of' stocks and bonds and how it will not effect the <br /> liquor bonds. Mr. Childs told him the rate is locked in. <br /> They also discussed early payback of the bonds , if revenues <br /> are high enough. <br /> 3 . Pull tabs will be discussed at the Council' s next meeting.. <br /> Mr. Nelson has already let the Councilmembers know his <br /> feelings -on the subject so he will not need to attend that <br /> meeting. <br /> 4 . The Mannings addition continues on schedule and will open to <br /> . customers on November 30th. <br /> 5 . The front awning will be installed on the liquor store by <br /> October 23rd. <br /> Carol Johnson <br /> 1 . The City auditor is still studying the applications sub- <br /> mitted for the Senior Accountant position. <br /> 2 . Due to the time Mrs. Johnson needs to spend. on. the upcoming <br /> election, research on several of the licenses,. i.e. , coin <br /> operated machines , will be done in two or-'three weeks. <br /> Lee Entner <br /> 1 . Benches at 26th/39th Avenues N.E. and at 33rd Avenue N.E. / <br /> Stinson Boulevard have : fire .safety messages displayed on <br /> • them. <br />
