Childs City Manager <br /> CITY COUNCIL SALARIES <br /> Monthly salaries for the Mayor and City Council are presently $330 for Mayor and <br /> $180' for each Councilmember. The current rates were established in December, 1983. <br /> Based on an AMM survey of Metro Cities similar in size to St. Anthony, it was recom- <br /> mended in the fall of 1986 that the salaries be increased to be in line with the <br /> average of those cities. Such change was to be effective after the 1987 City elec- <br /> tions as provided by state law. <br /> Although this change was approved and budgeted, it is also necessary to amend Section <br /> 125 of the City Code at this time to officially allow the increase to take place. <br /> Based on review of comparable Metro cities and the fact that it has been four years <br /> since St. Anthony elected officials have received any increase, I recommend adopt of <br /> Ordinance 1987-005. <br /> Y <br /> n <br /> 9 <br /> 6 <br /> :cjk10.27.87 <br />
