Carbon filtration plant construction. <br /> The group discussed these priorities/goals and felt that ( 1 ) some <br /> items ( shown with * ) are maintenance/budgeted items and would not <br /> be on list of top 5 or 6 goals ; ( 2 ) some items are approved and <br /> underway, so coordination is needed and are not shown as top <br /> goals ( shown with # ) ; ( 3 ) some items need guidance from decision <br /> makers , re: funding/timing ( shown with + ) ; and ( 4 ) the remaining <br /> items are identified as follows and in the following priorities <br /> as the Public Works top goals for 1988 : <br /> 1 . Foss Road Lift Station reconstruction. <br /> 2 . Storm/sanitary sewer system study implementation. <br /> . 3 . Spillway repair/silt removal - holding pond. <br /> 4 . Equipment replacement program. <br /> Carol Johnson - Finance Department <br /> 1 . Draft ordinance and report relating to water and sewer rate <br /> increases as projected in 1988 budget (consider flat rate <br /> for sewer) by March 15 , 1988 . <br /> 2 . Compiete training of new Senior Accounting clerk. <br /> 3 . Planning/decision making recommendations relating to water/ <br /> sewer billing and payroll data processing systems . <br /> 4 . New voting machines - community information and training and <br /> judges training. <br /> 5 . Hiring of receptionist and administrative assistant by <br /> July 1 , 1988 . <br /> Don Hickerson - Police Department <br /> 1 . Resolve computer situation. City is leasing the current <br /> terminal on a temporary basis to allow connection with <br /> State Police data system but needs to make permanent <br /> plans which could include providing some in-house cap- <br /> ability for the Police Department. The Chief is in- <br /> vestigating/studying this. <br /> 2 . Get help for the Investigator - either through (a) addi- <br /> tional staff ; or (b) reallocation of current manpower. <br /> 3 . Get/keep Police Reserve program going and effective. <br />
