The Public Works Director said he would check on it. <br /> 9 Council Approves $5,000 Payment for New Central Park Playground <br /> 10 Equipment <br /> 11 The report in the agenda packet on the above had been written by Dick <br /> 12 Buendorf, the summer administrative intern, Mr. Childs indicated. <br /> 13 Mr. Buendorf had compared the $7,500 quote from Miracle Recreation <br /> 14 Equipment to the $12 , 080.00 bid from Minnesota Playground and <br /> 15 considered the former to be the most cost effective, not only because <br /> 16 Miracle had provided a lower bid for riding toys and the digger, but <br /> 17 also because he considered their equipment to be more durable and <br /> 18 widely used. <br /> 19 Since the Council had only budgeted $5,000.00 for playground <br /> 20 equipment this year, the City Manager recommended purchasing only <br /> 21 equipment which costs that much this year and budgeting for the <br /> 22 remainder next year. <br /> 23 Mr. Childs indicated the report had also addressed long range plans <br /> 24 for both Central and Silver Point Parks and the Kiwanis Club had <br /> 25 promised to help with installation of the Central Park equipment. <br /> 26 Council Action <br /> 27 Motion by Ranal lo, seconded by Marks to approve payment of $5,000.00 <br /> 28 to Miracle Equipment for as much playground equipment for Central <br /> 29 Park as that will buy this year and to put the costs which remain up <br /> 30 for budget consideration this fall. <br /> 31 Notion carried unaniaously. <br /> 32 UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> 33 Motion by Ranallo, seconded by Marks to approve the third reading and <br /> 34 adopt Ordinance 1988-006. <br /> 35 ORDINANCE 1988-006 <br /> 36 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO LICENSING, EXEMPTING <br /> 37 THE CITY FROM LICENSING FEES AND REQUIREMENTS; <br /> 38 AMENDING SECTION 510:00 OF THE 1973 <br /> CODE OF ORDINANCES <br /> 40 17 <br />
