r � <br /> 1 *to Robert Davies for a Village originals reunion, September 11th; <br /> 2 *to William Myers for a public safety softball tournament, <br /> 3 September 17th; <br /> 4 *to Douglas Parker for a Nationwide Paper Company picnic, August • <br /> 5 25th; and <br /> 6 *to Austin Walsh for a Unisys company picnic, September 10th. <br /> 7 Voting on the motion: <br /> 8 Aye: Ranallo, Enrooth, Sundland. <br /> 9 Nay: Marks. <br /> 10 Motion carried. <br /> 11 Three Way Stop Sign to be Erected at Murray Avenue and Coolidge Street <br /> 12 Intersection <br /> 13 The recommendation that the above sign be erected had come from Larry <br /> 14 Hamer, the Public Works Director who had attached copies of a petition <br /> 15 from 25 residents of that neighborhood as well as the results of the <br /> 16 traffic counts and radar measurements to his August 5th memorandum. Mr. <br /> 17 Childs verified that all the studies had supported Mr. Hamer's con- <br /> 18 clusion that Coolidge was being used as a by-pass to avoid the heavy <br /> 19 build up of traffic on Silver Lake Road and St. Anthony Boulevard. <br /> 20 Council Action <br /> 21 Motion by Ranallo, seconded by Marks to authorize a three way stop at <br /> 22 the intersection of Murray Avenue and Coolidge Street because of traffic • <br /> 23 counts and radar measurements of roadways connecting to Kenzie Terrace <br /> 24 which indicated high usage and speeding on Coolidge as well as petition <br /> 25 from 25 residents of the area that the intersection be signed. <br /> 26 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 27 CLAIMS <br /> 28 Motion by Marks, seconded by Sundland to approve payments of all City <br /> 29 accounts payable for July 31st and August 9th and 23rd as well as Liquor <br /> -30 Operation accounts payable for July 31st and August 11th which were <br /> 31 listed in the Council's August 23 , 1988 agenda packet. <br /> 32 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 33 Motion by Enrooth, seconded by Marks to approve payment of the following <br /> 34 for services on the Kenzie Terrace signalized pedestrian crossing: <br /> 35 >$2,911.00 to Collins Electric <br /> 36 >$2,082.00 to Dickson Electric <br /> 37 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 2 <br /> • <br />
