STAFF MEETING NOTES <br /> • April 18, 1989 <br /> The last staff meeting with Mr. Childs was held at the Country <br /> Kitchen and began at 10:00 A.M. Those present were Ray Nelson, Lee <br /> Entner, Larry Hamer, Sue VanderHeyden, Dave Childs, Connie <br /> Kroeplin, and Don Hickerson. <br /> Lee Entner <br /> Regarding the rumor that Bob Lee has decided not to retire as of <br /> April 28, 1989, Chief Entner indicated he has not been <br /> contacted by Mr. Lee as of this date. Mr. Childs said he had <br /> not either and will still consider the April 28th date as Mr. <br /> Lee's retirement date. <br /> Chief Entner discussed the cost of increasing the height of a door <br /> to accommodate the utility van, which will be about $300. <br /> Don Hickerson <br /> Two more neighborhoods (#34 and #35) have been added to the Crime <br /> Watch program. <br /> • The Police Reserves will assist at the Apache Health Fair this <br /> Saturday. <br /> The MDT's have been installed in two squads. <br /> The new squad will be delivered today. <br /> The police union contract for 1989 has been settled. <br /> Larry Hamer <br /> The first street sweeping is almost complete. <br /> The fish along the Silver Lake shoreline have. been disposed of. <br /> Ramsey County is preparing a plan to upgrade Silver Lake Road. All <br /> concerned government agencies must approve the plan. A couple <br /> of improvements in the plan are to widen Silver Lake Road by <br /> the Salvation Army and to put in a sidewalk on the west side <br /> all the way to Highway 694. <br /> The foundation work for the second Autumnwood building has begun.. <br /> The Gardeners plan to plant flowers in the center medians on Kenzie <br /> Terrace and around the City's entrance sign in Trillium Park. <br /> • The new play equipment will be installed at Central Park within the <br /> next couple of weeks. <br />
