STAFF MEETING NOTES <br /> May 16, 1989 <br /> The meeting began at 9:45 A.M. Those present were: Larry Hamer, <br /> Don Hickerson, Lee Entner, Connie Kroeplin, Ray Nelson, and Sue <br /> VanderHeyden. <br /> Larry Hamer <br /> 1. A resolution in support of a study on the water quality of <br /> Silver Lake will be included in the Council's May 23rd agenda <br /> packet. <br /> 2. Flowers and shrubbery are being planted by the Gardeners in <br /> front of City Hall and the City sign and also on the center <br /> medians on Kenzie Terrace. <br /> 3. Kathy Knapp of Community Services accompanied a Hennepin <br /> County inspector as he checked the kitchen area of the <br /> Community Center. Ms. Knapp will send a letter to the City <br /> regarding the inspectors' findings. <br /> 4. Public Works is in the process of repairing and replacing the <br /> sod which had been damaged during the winter. <br /> 5. The play equipment has been installed at the City parks. <br /> Don Hickerson <br /> 1. The Police Reserves' April report will be on the Council's May <br /> 23rd agenda. <br /> Ray Nelson <br /> 1. Mr. Nelson will be present at tonight's Planning Commission <br /> in regard to the Stonehouse signage. <br /> Lee Entner <br /> 1. Chief Entner discussed ways to improve parking at the fire <br /> station. <br /> Barb Arney arrived at 10:00 A.M. to facilitate a discussion with <br /> those present about what attributes would be necessary and <br /> desirable for the new City Manager to possess. <br /> Sue VanderHeyden <br /> 1. Ms. VanderHeyden and Mr. Nelson discussed a new law before the <br /> legislature which states that places where pull tabs are sold <br /> • would need to wait five years before selling lotto tickets. <br />
