Anthony Municipal State Aid Designation, Old Highway . 8 Dear Mr. Hamer: You contacted me by telephone on Thursday, January 5, 1989, to discuss the possibility of joint designation of a small portion of Old Highway 8 in the City of Roseville as. a Municipal State Aid street. • Currently, the City of St. Anthony wishes to designate Old Highway 8 as a Municipal State Aid route. In order to meet Municipal State Aid rules, the route must begin and end at a roadway of equal or greater classification. A small portion of Old Highway 8, . south of County Road C-2 , lies in the City of Roseville. In order to make the roadway continuous, it would be necessary for St. Anthony to designate Old Highway. 8 to the west corporate boundary of Roseville. Roseville would then,* also, have to designate the small portion of Old Highway 8 which lies within its corporate limits south of County Road C-2 . Please note that Roseville currently has designated County Road C-2 , Old Highway 8 north of County Road C-2, and Highcrest as Municipal State aid streets in this area. it would, therefore, seem appropriate to agree with your request to provide a continuous state aid route designation for Old Highway 8 both north and south of County Road C-2 . The City of Roseville agrees in a preliminary manner to your request. The designation must, of course; be approved by District 9 Municipal State Aid Engineer Elmer Morris and the Roseville City Council at some future date.
