Motion by Marks, second by Makowske to approve payment of $2,400.00 <br /> 4 to Hance & LeVahn for legal services rendered for the month of December <br /> 5 1989 relative to St. Anthony prosecutions. <br /> 6 <br /> 7 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 8 <br /> 9 <br /> 10 B. Motion by Marks, second by Enrooth to approve payment of $2, 114.50 to <br /> 11 Modern Office for furniture to be used in the Fire Department. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 14 <br /> 15 <br /> 16 C. Motion by Marks, second by Ranallo to approve payment of $13,000.00 to <br /> 17 Rehrig Pacific Company for 2,500 recycling bins. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 20 <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Mayor Pro tem Ranallo observed that the recycling bins were delivered considerably <br /> �3 later than expected. This tardiness generated considerable inquiries by residents • <br /> 24 and phone calls to City Hall . He suggested the payment should be sent at the end <br /> 25 of the month. <br /> 26 <br /> �7 6. REPORTS <br /> 28 <br /> �9 A. City Council <br /> 30 <br /> 31 Councilmember Makowske met with the Ramsey County League of Local Govern- <br /> 32 ment' s Legislative Committee on November 29th. At that meeting she presented <br /> 33 a draft resolution which addressed the DARE drug program. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Councilmember Makowske reminded members of the Council of the Ramsey County <br /> 36 League of Local Government ' s Annual Meeting and Banquet on December 20th. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 Councilmember Enrooth met with Tom May, Assistant City Assessor, regarding <br /> 39 evaluations done in the City of St. Anthony. The City is viewed for evaluation <br /> 40 on a quadrant basis and is taxed at 921' % valuation. Councilmember Enrooth <br /> 41 expressed his concern regarding how this percentage was arrived at, noting <br /> 42 the evaluation figure could be skewered. Between October 1988 and .October <br /> 43 1989, twenty-five homes were sold in the City. This sales figure should be <br /> ..,; 45 considered at the next Board of Review Councilmember Enrooth thought. <br /> 46 Councilmember Marks met with Paul Brewer and Frank Lang at the Autumn Woods <br /> 47 project site to view the progress of the project and to discuss taxes. <br /> 48 •49 Councilmember Ranallo has received several calls from residents regarding <br /> 50 <br />
