2820 Silver Lk . Rd.
St. Anthony, Minn.
55418
September 22, 1992
Mr . Thomas Burt, City Manager
City of St. Anthony
3301 Silver Lake Road
St. Anthony, Minnesota
55418
Dear Mr. Burt:
I understand from the recent edition of the St. Anthony Bulletin, that the City
Council has established an environmental quality/recycling committee, and is
soliciting residents to serve on the committee . I would like to apply for
appointment to the committee .
The following is a summary of my background:
I have been a homeowner in St. Anthony since 1971 . I have over 22 years
experience working on environmental and water quality issues at the University
of Minnesota, an environmental consulting firm, and for the last 17 years with
the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, where I supervise the industrial permit
program in the Division of Water Quality. I am familiar with state and local
watershed planing requirements, as well the more recent federal stormwater
-r uirements. St. Anthony has taken an active approach to recycling, and I
eve that we need to support and encourage that effort.
city council should be commended for taking a progressive approach to
addressing environmental questions in the city.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely
Douglas A. Hall
•
