Oversaw day to day operations and practiced the civil, structural <br /> and mechanical design of commerical, industrial & residential projects. <br /> Completed approximately 350 engineering projects and studies/grants. <br /> One third of time devoted to contract research, organization and <br /> presentation of technical seminars, and authorship of articles dealing <br /> with energy and structural issues. Contract research in energy storage, <br /> energy control systems and low pollution solid fuel:combustion. Name <br /> changed to Martin R. Lunde and Associates in 1979. <br /> Bruch Consultants - 1972 to 1974 <br /> Project and Design Engineer <br /> As Project Engineer, coordinated all disciplines involved in total <br /> project design including drafting, detailing and the solving of field <br /> problems. Executed soil analysis, foundation design and structural <br /> design as a Civil Engineer. Designed septic and storm drainage systems, <br /> researched. and designed energy saving HVAC systems and developed a low <br /> cost, underground tank restraint system as a Mechanical Engineer. Was <br /> responsible for pictorial record of the companies projects, including <br /> field problems & special field conditions that warranted close control. <br /> Fisher Bngineering & Construction Corp. - 1963 to 1965, 1970 to 1972 <br /> Senior Staff Engineer <br /> Responsible for architectural, structural and _civil engineering design <br /> of industrial/commerical projects valued to 4.2 million dollars. <br /> Coordinated all phases of design and construction from inception to <br /> completion, with intense client contact and field supervision. <br /> University of Minnesota - 1967 to 1969 <br /> Teaching Assistant <br /> Assisted in teaching structural design in the School of Architecture. <br /> Courses included basic & advanced structural analysis with specifics in <br /> wood, concrete and steel. <br /> B. I. DuPont de Nemours and Company, Inc. - 1965 to 1967, 1969 to 1970 <br /> • Senior Mechanical Engineer <br /> Responsible for testing of new product ideas, design of ASME pressure <br /> vessels and development/evaluation of new film winding machinery. <br /> Advanced to Research Engineer doing research, testing and evaluation of <br /> synethetic diamonds, and design of blast shielding for tunnel boring. <br />
