• maintain a maximum of three directional signs on municipal rights-of- <br /> way. No church may erect or maintain more than one such sign at any <br /> intersection. <br /> Subd. 2. COMMERCIAL AND LIMITED BUSINESS: The following signs are <br /> allowed in a "B" Service Office Limited Business District and "C" Commercial <br /> Districts and may be erected after obtaining a permit and paying a required license <br /> fee. <br /> (1) One identification sign per commercial establishment. The sign may <br /> have no more than 2 square feet of surface area per lineal foot of <br /> business footage, up to a maximum of 150 square feet. The total area <br /> of all wall signs affixed to a wall may not exceed 15% of the total area <br /> of the wall. <br /> (2) A gasoline station will be allowed, in addition to all other authorized <br /> signs, one pylon sign to identify the gasoline brand. This sign may not <br /> exceed 30 feet in height, and must have a minimum clearance of 12 <br /> feet from the basic grade level to the lowest element of the sign <br /> surface and may not exceed 150 square feet, including both sides, in <br /> sign surface area. Such an establishment will also be allowed one price <br /> sign, not to exceed 8 square feet in sign surface area, for each frontage <br /> having a curb cut. Such freestanding sign and price signs will be in <br /> addition to those signs allowed in Part 1 of this Subdivision. <br /> (3) Upon submittal of a comprehensive sign plan and subject to the <br /> approval of the City Council, a shopping center over 75,000 feet may <br /> have major anchor/tenant monument sign(s) depending upon the <br /> number of major anchors. The total sign area shall not exceed 300 <br /> square feet.. <br /> (4) Upon submittal of a comprehensive sign plan and subject to the <br /> approval of the City Council, a shopping center over 75,000 square feet <br /> may be allowed additional wall signs for commercial establishments <br /> that need additional exposure from different vantage points. The <br /> number of additional wall signs.will not exceed one half the total <br /> number of commercial establishments and will be allowed a surface <br /> sign area of one-half of that which it is allowed. <br /> (5) A commercial establishment located within a shopping center, having <br /> no outside frontage, will be allowed a surface sign area of one-half of <br /> that which it would be allowed if it had outside frontage. <br /> (6) Commercial establishment will be allowed, in addition to all other <br /> • <br /> 13 <br />
