Mutual Aid Response <br /> There are incidents all-departments-respond to;that will require more resources than-the <br /> responding department has. Even big city departments utilize mutual aid to assist their <br /> response to mitigate an incident._Mutual.aid agreements have-been-commonplace within <br /> the suburbs as the majority of our personnel work days. Assistance in personnel is <br /> generally_needed.during.this.time frame., with mutual aid being utilized to provide this <br /> resource. Mutual aid is also used to staff stations while crews are out at incidents to <br /> provide consistent expediate service to the community. Another advantage of mutual aid <br /> is the resource of specialty trained personnel and equipment. This will provide resources <br /> were we do not have the technical training or equipment in a unique or unusual event we <br /> may be called to. Such as a large Hazardous Materials release, a High Angle Rescue, a <br /> Confined Space Rescue, a Cold Water Rescue or A Trench Rescue. <br /> The Saint Anthony Fire Department is a member of two.mutual aid associations,North <br /> Suburban and Capital City. This membership enters'us into a reciprocal agreement.with <br /> fifty-four fire departments across the majority of the metropolitan area.
