a P } CITY OF ST. ANTHONY • COUNCIL MINUTES March 22_, 1983 E The- meeting was opened with the Pledge . of Allegiance led by Mayor Y; Sundland at 8:03 P.M. Present for - roll call: Marks , Ranallo; Sundland, Letourneau, and Enrooth. Also present : David Childs, City Manager; Larry Hamer, Public Works Director; and Don Hickerson, Police Chief. Motion by Councilman Letourneau and seconded by Councilman Enrooth to approve as submitted the minutes for the Council, meeting held March 1, 1983. = Motion carried unanimously . Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Ranallo to approve a Bingo license for the American Legion Post #513; bowling- alley and vending licenses for St. Anthony Lanes , - Inc. and Minneapolis Bowl, Inc. ; a vending license for Larry ' s Wash; a heating license for ABC Appliance & Heating Co. ; and a service station license for Total Automotive Inc. , as listed in the March .22, 1983 Council agenda. • Motion carried unanimously. The Manager pointed out that all the businesses seeking beer or wine license renewals are now required to carry Dram Shop insurance which many proprietors complain is..-very expens y ive . That may to the City 's advantage , Councilman Ranallo said, since serious thought would have to be given to undertaking such a business now. Chief Hickerson confirmed that the Police Department had checked each applicant for beer, wine or amusement devices licenses and had reported no problems in the past significant enough to warrant not renewing the licenses . Motion by Councilman Letourneau and seconded by Councilman Enrooth to renew the 3. 2 on-sale beer licenses for the Bowl-O-Mat , Legion Post #513; Vincenzo' s restaurant; Gross Colf Course and St. .Anthony Lanes , Inc. , as listed in the March 22 , 1983 Council agenda . Motion carried unanimously. ' Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Enrooth to renew amusement devices licenses for 18 devices for Treasure Island; 20 devices for Chick' s Billiards, and 8 devices for St. Anthony Lanes , as listed in the March 22 , 1983 Council agenda. Motion carried unanimously. • Motion by Councilman Letourneau and seconded by Councilman Ranallo to renew cigarette licenses for Chick' s Billiards ; St. Anthony Lanes ; Minneapolis Bowl-O-Mat; Olson' s Superette,- Inc . ; SG Coffee Shop, Inc. ; Total Automotive Inc. ; Vincenzo ' s ' res"taurant; Gross Golf Course;- and the -two City Red Owl stores, as: .listed: in the March 22 , 1983 Council agenda.
