' <br /> Nay : Sundland. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Bjorklund concluded, his report by reiterating some of the Commission <br /> members ' reactions to the Kenzie Terrace Redevelopment Project. The <br /> Mayor told him he. perceives the redevelopers have found many of their <br /> suggestions helpful, noting that the -building height in Phase 1 had <br /> been adjusted after the Commission members had recalled that the <br /> neighbors had expressed a good deal of concern that a building on that <br /> site .might cut off the sunlight for their .properties . The Commission <br /> representative observed that this was. one of the advantages of retain- <br /> ing experience on that body. He also offered some brochures for the <br /> Richfield project which. he believes would be very similar to the <br /> redevelopment planned .for St. Anthony . <br /> The March 15th staff meeting notes were accepted as informational. <br /> Mr. Childs had included in the agenda packet a copy of the Pollution <br /> Control Agency ' s letter to the Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant con- <br /> testing the Army' s conclusion that the water contamination problems <br /> experienced by- adjoining communities had not originated at the plant. <br /> Mr. Hamer indicated he anticipates the City would receive the prelimin- <br /> ary- report on"the--City ' s water-supply--from the- hydrologist--in--the next <br /> few weeks and suggested the Council hold a special meeting early in <br /> April to discuss these preliminary findings and, at the same time , to <br /> consider the plans and specifications for painting the water tank and <br /> replacement of the Stinson watermain. The Manager agreed that it <br /> would be advantageous for the Council to read the hydrologist ' s report <br /> a week before the meeting and also that the City Health Advisory Board <br /> should be invited to participate in the discussions , along with the <br /> public. <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Enrooth to schedule <br /> a Special Council Meeting for 7 : 30 P .M. , April 5 , 1963, to consider <br /> various water issues facing the City at this time. <br /> Motion carried unanimously . <br /> The bulletin from the Association of Metropolitan Municipalities announc- <br /> ing the annual meeting and elections would be held March 26th , and <br /> discussion several current issues before .the organization , .had been <br /> included in the agenda. packet for the Council ' s information. <br /> Jim Schwartz , .the Bulletin reporter, was asked to publicize the fact <br /> that the City is looking for a replacement for John Hatcher on the <br /> Planning Area One -Citizens -Advisory Committee (PACAC) . <br /> • Mr: Childs had submitted a rough draft of the article he proposes to <br /> run -in the City Newsletter which- would reflect the reasons the staff is <br />
