City of Saint Anthony Housing Maintenance Ordinance <br /> Draft Number 1 -- November 10, 1991 <br /> Page Number 8 <br /> 1 paved and delineated parking areas and driveways for tenants consistent with Chapter ### <br /> 2 of the City Ordinances. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 MAINTENANCE OF YARDS. The owner of a multiple family dwelling or dwellings shall <br /> 5 be responsible for providing and maintaining premises' yards consistent with Section <br /> . 6 #####. <br /> 7 <br /> 8 SECTION 3. <br /> 9 <br /> 10 MINIMUM STANDARDS FOR BASIC EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES. N o <br /> 11 person shall occupy as owner, occupant, or let to another for occupancy any dwelling or <br /> 12 dwelling unit, for the purposes of living, sleeping, cooking and eating therein, which does not <br /> 13 comply with the following requirements: <br /> 14 <br /> 15 KITCHEN FACILITIES. Every dwelling unit shall have a room or portion of a room in <br /> 16 which food may be prepared and/or cooked and which shall have adequate circulation area, <br /> 17 and which shall be equipped with the following: <br /> 18 <br /> 19 1. A kitchen sink in good working condition and properly connected to an <br /> 20 approved water supply system and which provides at all times an adequate <br /> 21 amount of heated and unheated running water under pressure, and which is <br /> 22 connected to an approved sewer system. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 2. Cabinets and/or shelves for the storage of eating, drinking, and cooking <br /> 25 equipments and utensils and of food that does not require refrigeration for <br /> 26 safekeeping; and a counter or table for food preparation. Said cabinets <br /> 27 and/or shelves and counter or table shall be adequate for the permissible <br /> 28 occupancy of the dwelling unit and shall be of sound construction furnished <br /> 29 with surfaces that are easily cleanable and that will not impart any toxic or <br /> 30 deleterious effect to food. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 3. A stove or similar device for cooking food, and a refrigerator or similar device <br /> 33 for the safe storage of food, which are properly installed with all necessary <br /> 34 connections for safe, sanitary and efficient operation. Provided that such <br /> 35 stove, refrigerator, or similar devices need not be installed when a dwelling <br /> 36 unit is not occupied and when the occupant is expected to provide same on <br /> 37 occupancy, in which case sufficient space and adequate connections for the <br /> 38 installation and operation of said stove, refrigerator or similar device must be <br /> 39 provided. <br /> 40 <br /> 41 TOILET FACILITIES.
