LAUNDRY DRYER VENTING <br /> Plastic flexible exhaust vents are not allowed, due to the problem of lent <br /> build-up behind the dryer and causing a fire. Plastic flexible vents tend to <br /> catch lent, thereby creating a fire hazard. <br /> Ventilation ducts must be metal with smooth interior surface, the use of metal <br /> screws is not allowed, all joints will be taped. <br /> No type of energy/heat saver dampening device is allowed, and must be <br /> removed from the exhaust duet. . <br /> VENT LENGTH LIMITATIONS <br /> 1) Flexible metal duct--�----- approved metal flexible duct connectors not <br /> more than 6 feet in length may be used in connection with domestic cloths <br /> dryer exhausts. Flexible duct connectors cannot be concealed within <br /> construction. <br /> 2) METAL PIPE Unless otherwise permitted a metal pipe cloths <br /> dryer exhaust duct shall not exceed a total combined horizontal and vertical <br /> length of 14 feet, including two 90- degree elbows. Two feet shall be <br /> deducted for each 90-degree elbow in excess of two. <br />
