He said they had 8 looked at this location and the wet area to determine how they can landscape it, and felt they 9 might be able to do something with native vegetation. They were proposing to look at this edge 10 as a sort of a prairie or wetland garden with very low maintenance and take it up the hill a little 1'1 bit. Hartman asked if this area might take on too much water too quickly to allow the plants to 12 grow. He suggested they detour the water for a short time if they do plantings there. 13 Mr. Kost suggested they consider what will be done for shelters and reviewed pictures of other 14 shelters. 15 Zurbey stated he would bring this plan to the Sports Booster meeting on Wednesday and inform them they have two weeks to study it and come back with ideas. He requested Sports Booster 22 Representative Zurbey to obtain input from the Sports Booster as to where they would like 23 batting cages placed. 24 Thuesen stated he is willing to attend any Park Commission meetings as a Council 25 representative, and asked if there were any meetings where they preferred he did not attend. The 26 Commission requested him to be present at all of the meetings possible for his input. 27 In relation to Water Tower Park, Mr. Wong advised separate bathrooms for men and women 28 would be in a price range of$40,000 to $50,000 for something simple. Mr. Kost advised 29 architecture fees would be approximately an additional 12 percent, which would be an additional 30 $12,000 to $14,000. He stated this is a low estimate. 31 V.
