The focus of these funds was for the drafting of
ordinances, wetland functions and values assessments, and lake assessment projects.
• As you may be aware, a lake assessment was recently completed for Silver Lake by the Rice
Creek Watershed District and Ramsey County. In addition, the City of St. Anthony revised their
stormwater ordinances in 1998 to reflect the changes in their stormwater management plan which
was approved and adopted by the City of St.Anthony in 1998. However, there may be a desire
for erosion and sedimentation ordinances to be drafted in the future. Erosion and sedimentation
control associated with construction sites are currently controlled through permitting by the Rice
Creek Watershed District and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, but additional efforts
could be added to the City's ordinances in the future. It is our understanding that the
Metropolitan Local Water Resource Management Planning Grant Application will be available
again in 2001 which will again provide us the opportunity to review the City's needs at that time
and apply for these grants.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 763-277-5782.
Sincerely,
WSB& Associates,Inc.
Todd E.
