87 <br /> Information on Local Water Resources Management Plans Grant Program <br /> PROGRAM FUNDING <br /> The Local Water Resources Management Plan Grant Program has been funded at a level of <br /> $200,000.. <br /> GRANTEE EXPECTATIONS <br /> Grantees will be expected to provide a minimum 50/50 cost share on the total grant awarded. <br /> The grantee will receive 90% of the grant awarded upon signing of the contract. The remaining <br /> 10%will be awarded after the grantee sends in a brief final report. Grants will be awarded for a <br /> maximum of$20,000. Grants will be accepted from local governmental units and watershed <br /> organizations that have first or second generation water management plans. Grants will be <br /> dispersed based on the grant application priorities listed below. <br /> APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS <br /> 1. Identify a contact person. <br /> 2. Provide a brief discussion of the scope of the program. <br /> 3. Provide a work program for activities to be funded by the grant that includes a schedule for <br /> completion of activities. <br /> 4. Provide a budget that identifies costs and cost share sources for activities to be funded by the <br /> grant. <br /> 5. Include the amount requested to be funded through the grant program. <br /> 6. Submit one copy of the required information. ,Please limit the application to 2-3 pages where <br /> • possible. <br /> GRANT APPLICATION PRIORITIES (in order of decreasing importance) <br /> 1.The development of any or all of the following ordinances <br /> a. Wetland protection ordinance <br /> b. Erosion and sediment control ordinance <br /> c. Storm water management ordinance <br /> d. Buffer setback ordinance <br /> e. Shoreland ordinance <br /> f. Floodplain ordinance <br /> 2. The development of a function and value assessment of the wetlands <br /> 3.
