II. ARCHITECTURAL DESCRIPTION <br /> Apache Plaza is a one-story enclosed retail mall complex. The layout of the ground floor plan is <br /> comprised of a large central atrium containing several freestanding retail kiosks and landscaped <br /> ■ seating areas. Surrounding the atrium are retail stores ranging in size from small stores to large <br /> department stores and furniture outlets. A large number of these stores are now abandoned. The <br /> building also includes a basement that houses an abandoned bowling alley,vacant office space, and <br /> ■ storage areas for the stores above. The following is a brief description of the interior make-up of <br /> the major zones on the basement and ground levels. The key plans on the following pages can be <br /> used for reference. <br /> ■ BASEMENT LEVEL (Refer to Basement Key plan to identify zones) <br /> TOTAL AREA: APPROX. 131,000 SQUARE FEET <br /> ■ Zone A: Former Building Management Offices <br /> . 1. Approximate Area: 10,700 square feet. <br /> 2. Walls: Mostly 8" CMU, some gypsum board. <br /> 3. Floor: Carpet on concrete slab <br /> 4. Ceiling: Lay-in ACT. <br /> r Zone B: Storage facilities - Restrooms; Mechanical/ Electrical Rooms <br /> 1. Approximate Area: 13,700 square feet. <br /> ■ 2. Walls: 8" CMU. <br /> 3. Floor: VCT/ concrete. <br /> 4. Ceiling: Exposed to structure. <br /> Zone AB: Corridor <br /> ■ 1. Approximate Area: 4,000 square feet. <br /> 2. Floors: VCT. <br /> . 3. Ceiling: Lay-in ACT. <br /> 4. Stairs surrounded on three sides by glass walls, treads are marble tile set in metal pans; <br /> . pre-cast water fountain with metal grating at base of stairs. <br /> Zone C: Bowling Alley <br /> 1. Approximate Area: 36,250 square feet + 5,000 square feet for Area C4. <br /> ■ 2. Walls: Concrete (exterior); CMU (interior). <br /> . 3.
